Working Group on Security Challenges at Seaports

Mimi Oosterveen is currently in her third year of International & European Law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. From day one, she has been very involved in internal and external activities related to her LL.B program. From volunteering to helping out with organizing events for the Invictus Student Association to participating in Model United Nations Conferences and the 2019 Nuremberg Moot Court Competition. Her passion lies within the field of International Criminal Law. More specifically, the historical aspect, how it has developed and how it can be improved for future purposes. Recently, she started an Internship with Invictus Foundation. As a Member of the Working Group on Security Challenges at Seaports, she focuses on the legal aspect of security challenges. This helps her grow as a young legal professional, improve her research and writing skills as well as working in a dynamic team.

Besides focusing on her studies, she volunteers in her free time for the Dutch Red Cross as both a Communications Coordinator and a civilian first aid worker. Moreover, whenever she has spare time she likes to catch up with friends and have fruitful debates about life and occasionally she can be found in the gym.
